The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) announced on Thursday that registrations to CAT 2016 will be concluding on September 22 by 5 pm. The institute has also unveiled, for the first time, initiatives for candidates applying for the test under the persons with disability (PWD) category.
The CAT application webpage will have a separate tab dedicated for the assistance required by PWD candidates. The option will include applying for a scribe, requesting for a wheelchair, enabling a zoom feature among other options, which would also be available from October 1 to 5. Candidates can seek help from a dedicated help desk – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Furthermore, for candidates with visual difficulty, questions alternate to graphs, pictures or maps will be provided during the test. On the day of the test (December 4), PWD candidates will be given priority access (15 minutes before permitting other candidates) to the test venue for registrations.
- The test will be conducted in two sessions on Sunday, December 4 across 138 cities.
- Candidates can choose four cities in order of preference.
- Centers will be assigned to candidates only after the last date of registrations – September 22.
- After the submission of applications, candidates will be permitted to download their admit card from October 18 onwards till the date of the test.
